Northern Soul Night here at the Folk Hall!

Join us for a night of Northern Soul, SKA and Mod R&B!

We have an exciting line up of DJ’s joining us throughout the evening including:

Andy Lewis – Andy is a London-based musician and music producer who charted with “Are You Trying To Be Lonely” written and co-performed with Paul Weller. He has deejayed and toured with Weller all over the world, and is currently producing music in Spain.

Joe Dean – Joe was a regular at the Twisted Wheel in Manchester and other original Mod clubs back in the day. He has deejayed all over the country and brings his original Mod angle to his DJ sets.

Ritchy “Cool” Parks -. Ritchy runs his own nights in North Yorkshire and is a regular behind the decks at “There Was A Time”.

Paul Leighton – Paul is a York DJ who plays out across the country at various events, bringing a diverse vibe to his sets that incorporate all aspects of the Northern Soul, Mod and SKA scenes.

Jay Cee – Jay is a York musician, DJ and music producer who has hosted various Northern Soul / Mod nights in York at various venues with a focus on keeping the Mod element alive in the records he plays. He presents a Northern Soul / Mod radio show – “Les Nuits” on local York radio station Jorvik Radio on a Sunday 6pm – 8pm, and is the bass player in The 5:15’s, the York Northern Soul / Mod / Ska covers band who play all over the UK.

Doors and bar open 6:30pm, music starts 7pm, 11pm finish
