We have a host of regular and one off events running at the Folk Hall for our local and wider community to join in. We have Art Classes, Martial Arts, community groups, a range of exercise classes including Pilates, yoga, Over 50’s keep fit and so much more. Saturday 2nd April – WEA Families Get Active Ceilidh

We would love to invite you to a special family event; a Families Get Active Ceilidh (or barn dance). Prepare yourself for a Saturday of family dancing and a great way to get yourself grooving and moving as a family! Join The WEA Families Get Active celebration Ceilidh on the 2nd of April. Running 2pm to 4pm with the local ‘The Bad Bargain Band’ and refreshments served here at the Folk Hall!

Saturday 4th June – Jubilee Big Lunch

We are delighted to finally announce The Big Jubilee Lunch!

The Big Lunch is the UK’s annual celebration for neighbours and communities and has been taking place across the UK since 2009. This year The Big Lunch are encouraging people to take part in The Big Jubilee Lunch, and we felt that this would be a fantastic way to bring the community together after a tough couple of years and to welcome residents old and new to enjoy the new green spaces at the rear of the Folk Hall.

Friday 17th June – Film at the Folk Hall presents The Naked Civil Servant

Previously due to be shown February 18th, this special showing of Film at the Folk Hall is back for Pride!

BAFTA winning biopic of LGBT icon Quentin Crisp – Brought to the beautiful Folk Hall and projected in all it’s glory onto our 16 foot screen.
