Indoor spaces
Throughout the building we also have a number of community spaces for you to utilise. Upstairs on the mezzanine we have Russet Breakout and Rowntree, these have a range of chairs and tables for you to meet up for a quick tea and coffee or get some work done in a bit more privacy. If you continue past the Pippin room, we have the Explore Library computers and our Lambourne space. Some areas are also not just for general public use. Russet Breakout, Rowntree and Lambourne can be booked out and have been used by the U3A, ad hoc meeting groups and are often in use by the Explore library and various book groups. It is great to see all parts of the building in use.

Outdoor Spaces
We also have a range of Outdoors spaces for you to use and enjoy, just outside the library and Folk Hall front entrance is a seating area for you to enjoy the fresh air and maybe tuck into a good book! Closer to the Folk Hall Front entrance when the weather is good, there is additional café seating if you don’t want to sit inside.

Between the Folk Hall and New Lodge we also have a big green space for users of the Folk Hall and residents of New Lodge to sit and enjoy. The wide open space leaves plenty of room for a quick picnic, relaxing with friends or going somewhere a bit greener when visiting family!
Play Area
Next to the swimming pool and the car park is the fantastic children’s play area. A big space for your kids to play and have fun during nice weather. There is a selection of different play equipment for older and younger children.
