7th – 18th May 2025
York’s Dead Good Festival takes place in May in conjunction with Dying Matters, with the aim of encouraging people to be more open about dying, death and bereavement. The festival will encourage people to express themselves in different ways, whilst giving advice and support on a number of practical matters. There are events happening throughout York at a wide variety of venues between 7th and 18th May including performances, informative talks, crafts, discussions, and more, many of which are free.
There are 3 events taking place in New Earswick:
Wednesday 7th May, 1-3pm (Folk Hall) – Understanding your Digital Legacy with York Learning
Saturday 10th May, 2-3.30pm (Last Wishes Funerals) – Complimentary Therapies with the end in mind
Tuesday 13th May, 1-3pm (Folk Hall) – Pop up info stand with St Leonard’s Hospice
Tuesday 13th May, 2-4pm (Last Wishes Funerals) – A healthy approach to death?
Friday 16th May, 2-4pm (Last Wishes Funerals) – Open Day at Last Wishes
