Come and join us for our second special Comedy Night here at the New Earswick Folk Hall!
The show is on Friday 10th November with the fabulously funny Tom Wrigglesworth headlining as well as other fantastic acts performing for your entertainment.
Tom Wrigglesworth is a Sony Radio Award winner, an Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and “a terrific storyteller” (Bruce Dessau, London Evening Standard). His Radio 4 series Tom Wrigglesworth’s Hang Ups is in its 5th series, and he’s a regular on shows like Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4).
Sam Harland was voted Best MC in the 2022 Yorkshire Comedy Awards. He’s also been nominated for the Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year and a finalist in the Hull Comedy Festival Comedian of the Year. Comedy website chortle.co.uk says, “his timing is perfect” and Liverpool’s famous Hot Water Comedy Club calls him, “a real audience pleaser.”
Ant Dewson is back with a brand new set. A comedy writer for BBC Radio 4 and Sky TV, he performs on BBC Radio London, Riverside Radio and at some of the best comedy clubs in the UK. The Skinny described him as “a musical comedy feast” and Tom Robinson from BBC 6Music called him “the highlight of the night.”
Jon Pearson is a two-time winner of the Midlands MC of the Year and he won Best Improv/Music Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival (2022). Jon’s done sold out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and the Nottingham Comedy Festival and was one of the stars of Black Label on BBC Radio 4.
All of this will be set within our beautiful Orchard Hall, with access to a fully staffed bar, so you can enjoy a night of laughs amongst friends.
