Film at the Folk Hall presents Belfast

Our next Film at the Folk Hall is here! Coming just a week after the re-scheduled Naked Civil Servant comes Belfast (12a). The Oscar winning drama from Sir Kenneth Branagh coming to the Folk Hall June 24th 2022.

“If you are not listening you probably don’t understand us and if you don’t understand us you are probably not listening” – Pop (Belfast)

Directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh, Belfast is a movie built from Branagh’s own experience. A nine-year-old boy must chart a path towards adulthood through a world that has suddenly turned upside down. His stable and loving community and everything he thought he understood about life is changed forever but joy, laughter, music and the formative magic of the movies remain.

Enjoy this beautiful film among friends in our relaxed and beautiful hall, created by Joseph Rowntree to bring communities together under one roof. As well as music and a licensed bar, we have table seating and an interval so you can make your cinema trip a social one.
