Mental Health Awareness Week event – Special Screening of ‘WHY’

New Earswick Folk Hall Hawthorn Terrace, York

Join us on Mental Health Awareness Week for a screening of 'WHY'. A York made suicide prevention film which we hope will spread awareness about one of the most stigmatised subjects in society. (More information about the film below).
This event is brought to you by the kind funding of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and volunteers from York Ending Stigma, Menfulness and Film at the Folk Hall.
As well as this incredible film we will hear from Emma Williams from York Ending Stigma, watch a short film made by Menfulness and have a Q + A with some of the champions who appear in the main feature.
As always you can expect an interesting evening among friends in our beautiful hall, created by Joseph Rowntree with a vision to bring communities together under one roof. As well as a licensed bar with snacks, we have an interval so you can make your cinema trip a social one.
