Now the dust has settled we can truly say what a fantastic success Saturday was, it was great to see so much of the local community and faces from across York descend on the Folk Hall to enjoy the Christmas Fair. This is something that has taken months of hard work and planning, all with the intended goal of hosting a Christmas Fair at the Folk Hall!
We had so many fantastic stalls both inside and out, with fresh hot food served by the cafe and outside. We had craft stalls, jewellery, drinks, potions, arts, fundraising, a clothes sale and so much more! Although it was scheduled to start at 12.00 noon, we still had people queuing up ready to come in, clearly word had got around about the amazing stalls inside.
We were delighted to see so many people here (Well over 1000 attendees!!) and the hall was a cauldron of bustle and noise whilst people explored the many stalls throughout the building. There are too many people to thank from the stall holders to the team that organised and planned the event as well as the Folk Hall Cafe team who didn’t stop serving their lovely cakes and hot drinks. We cannot wait to do it again next year and deliver an even better festive fair for you all!
This was such a lovely event – fantastic stalls, friendly helpers, and plenty of great gift ideas. I’m already looking forward to next year’s fair!
Such a great event and I loved visiting the stalls – it looked so professional, and we were spoilt for choice with the different stalls!
