Folk Hall Christmas Family Film

It’s that time of year again and we invite you to join us for our yearly Family Christmas Film. Come along to the Folk Hall on Sunday 18th December and enjoy a showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol. There will be food available for all ticket holders, included in the cost of the ticket, for people to tuck into at the start of the film. We will also have a selection of craft activities for people to enjoy! Then it is onto the film!

The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Other Muppets — Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle — weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases — past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

Enjoy this brilliant film among friends in our relaxed and beautiful hall, created by Joseph Rowntree to bring communities together under one roof!
