New Earswick Primary – Recycling Poster Competition

Pupils of New Earswick Primary school have taken part in a poster competition and created some fantastic posters to promote the recycling hub at the Folk Hall. The competition was to design a poster to display in the Folk Hall to show & encourage people using the Folk Hall what can re-cycled there.

These are: crisps packets,  bread wrappers, paper and card board, drink cans, foil and cables, pens, batteries, plastic and the library collects books and games.

The competition was judged in two age groups 5 to 8 years old and 9  to 11 years old. With the winners receiving a book prize & Eco-craft gift. The New Earswick Library approached the school about the competition and where involved in the judging. Well done to all of you for the excellent work, they have done great work highlighting the importance of recycling!

Three posters where awarded Certificates of Merit and another other received a Certificate of Participation in the Competition. Incredibly there were 62 entries, what a great effort.

If you want to come and see the posters yourself, I would recommend it, they can be found in the corridor by the Help Yourself Shelf and What’s On board.
